The sun was high in the sky, the heat warmed up my nervous body. Jack and I had walked to the park a couple of blocks down from Zack's house. There were a few children playing on the plastic, brightly-colored play equipment that was fenced in. The ground was sprinkled with different sized wood chips. My lips pulled up into a crooked grin as I watched the kids run around, screaming things to their friends.
"Hey. I want to swing!" Jack announced and ran off to the tireswing in the center of the playground and hopped on, spinning around. I laughed and approached the swing where he sat, looking up at me with sadness in his eyes.
"What?" I sighe

It was Saturday morning and my eyes opened slowly. I found that my head was on Jack's chest and I couldn't locate a clock. Two very important parts of this particular morning. I needed to know what time it was. And why I had woken up snuggled up to Jack.
Zack pushed the door open groggily and rubbed his eyes. "Now why I had to sleep in the guest room, I don't know. But you two need to get your asses up and march them to the kitchen so we can eat breakfast." he demanded before closing the door on his way back out of the room. I didn't bother moving from the position I was in, as it was quite comfortable, and I didn't want to wake Jack.

I snuggled into his side and rested my head on his shoulder. Honestly, I felt bad because my mind was jumping all over the placed and I couldn't just decide on what I felt toward Jack. But I can reassure you that I liked him more than a friend. I just wasn't sure about what extent I was at. How much more that a friend? I enjoyed his lips on mine but I still felt quite awkward afterward. I itched to touch when I was around him but I could grasp any running thought through my mind. It was painfully difficult.
"Alex, when's your birthday?" Jack asked softly.
"December, why?" I inched my hand closer to his. Again with the "itching to touch" thi

"J-Jack." I managed to let the words slip off my tongue as I scooted back on the bed torward the head board. My arms were behind me, holding me up, and I breathed evenly.
"Yeah?" he asked. A partial smirk started to form on his face. I felt my back press up against the head board and I gasped. He was inching closer to me and I had no where else to go.
"I. Uh. Not yet." I said a best as I could with out sounding nervous. That didn't work. He sighed, continuing to grow closer to me, placing his arms around either side of my body. He didn't d

I heard a muffled conversation coming from somewhere around me and I opened my eyes. The tiled floor of Zack's master bathroom was pressed to my face. I didn't remember falling asleep.
I looked at the clock above the sink and caught the time.
'6:34'. I had slept for an hour?
I unglued my face from the cold floor and stood up and looked in the mirror. I had a couple of lines indented into my face--most likely from the tiles--and my hair was half-way parted in a different direction. It made me curious about what I did in my sleep because I don't remember dreaming.
Opening the door, I spotted Zack and Jack sitting on the bed. I cleared my t

I sat on Zack's bed and waited impatiently in his room as he said. My eyes jumped around his light green walls and scanned all of the posters--about 10?--and framed pictures with signatures from celebrities that were tacked on his walls. He told me he would be back--wherever he was going I was not sure of--in a "few minutes". But I'm pretty sure that 30 minutes is not classified as a few"
I dug in the pockets of my tight-ass, black, skinny jeans in search of something to occupy myself. Zack had stolen my phone and took it with him for reasons unknown.

"You, wait in my room." Zack demanded as I got out of his Porsche.
"Yeah. If I knew where it was."
He smirked and shoved me, also knocking me over into the lawn, but I caught myself.
"Upstairs. Down the hall. Second door on the left." he instructed and we walked into the house. He threw his bag on the floor by the front door and I shrugged, lifting mine off of my shoulder and setting it on the floor next to his. I skipped every other stair on the way up to his room and looked into the first room on the left, curious. I nearly stopped in my tracks and glared into the room, tilting my head to the side slightly.

A slightly muscular--maybe more than slightly--male, my age maybe, approached me in the hallway. He looked sort of familiar but I couldn't place a name. Maybe something that started with an 'L'?
"Alex!" he yelled in my direction and I slammed my locker shut with a sigh, almost dropping my history binder on the floor. I rebalanced it in my arms and leaned against the wall of lockers. "Alex, I haven't seen you in..." he counted on his fingers. "In 4 years? Dude!" he smiled and squeezed me in a hug. I didn't know who the fuck this guy was and why he was hugging me in the middle of the hallway. Was he new?
"Uh." I said, pushing out of the hug w
